Dr. Mark Dylewski
Growing up in Oakland county, Dr. Mark Dylewski graduated from Brother Rice High School, earned his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University, and completed his Dental Degree in 1987 and Master of Science in Endodonitcs in 1990 from The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Dylewski recently joined Great Expressions in November of 2014 after practicing with Endodontic Associates for 24 years. His time is currently split between our Bloomfield Hills and Livonia Specialty offices.
Dr. Dylewski likes to keep active with a passion for golf and spending time with his three beautiful daughters, and also enjoys outdoor activities.
Dr. Tony Carbajal
Dr. Tony Carbajal received his dental degree from the University of Michigan (GO BLUE!), where he also earned a Master of Science Degree in Endodontics. He has previously worked as a solo practitioner, as well as in private practice for 25 years before joining a group practice in upstate New York. After New York, he became a Michigan resident again and for some time was an Associate Clinical Professor of Endodontics at the University of Michigan.
He enjoys all sports having played football, hockey and baseball in high school. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, kids and grandkids. Currently he finds working for Great Expressions very satisfying and rewarding.
Dr. Ayman El Madawy
Dr. Ayman El Madawy completed his dental degree from Cairo University in Egypt in 1983. Continuing his education, he then completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency and obtained a Master's Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) in 1989. He was then awarded a scholarship for a PhD thesis research and clinical training at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1991 to 1994. In 1994 He obtained the PhD and worked as an Assistant then Associate professor at the department of OMFS at the AlAzhar University in Cairo. In 2003, after passing the exam and fulfilling the criteria, Dr. El Madawy became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, England.
Since 1992, Dr. El Madawy has further specialized in many fields of dentistry including the surgical and non-surgical management of TMJ disorders and dental implants, different types of dental implant surgeries for restoring missing occlusion, as well as intra-venous sedation to provide comfort to those apprehensive about dental surgery. Aside from his dentistry, he conducted 18 clinical research works that were published in medical and dental Journals.
Dr. El Madawy was hired as an adjunct instructor at the OMFS department of the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry, in August 2009. Currently he is working as a Part-time Associate Professor of OMFS and at Great Expressions Dental Centers.
Dr. Brock McKinley
Dr. Brock McKinley joins the Great Expressions team of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons after completing the residency program at Detroit Receiving Hospital earlier this year. Prior to formal residency, he completed two OMFS intern years: Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL (2007-2008) and Detroit Receiving Hospital (2010-20011). In the interim, Dr. McKinley practiced general dentistry in Colorado with a focus on IV sedation, oral surgery and implant placement.
As a Colorado Native, Dr. McKinley attended the University of Colorado - Boulder on a Boettcher Foundation Scholarship for undergraduate studies in business administration. After partaking in entrepreneurial endeavors, he accepted a position as Territory Manager (Colorado/Wyoming/Utah/Arizona/New Mexico) for Septodont Inc., which led him to apply to Dental School (University of Colorado Class of 2007), and to ultimately persevere in following his love for oral & maxillofacial surgery.
While in Detroit, Dr. McKinley found his actual true love, Ashlee, and was blessed with the good fortune of being married in October of 2013. Their family now consists of Ashlee, Brock and their 4 dogs (Jujee, Tinkerbell, Chewie and Lucy). In addition to being the world's best canine parents, Ashlee & Brock love to travel, spend time "Up North," and perform on stage with Grosse Pointe Community Theatre.
Dr. Zenon Kossak
Dr. Zenon Kossak was born in Lviv, Ukraine. He was one year old when his family escaped Ukraine, which was under brutal Russian-Soviet control. His family immigrated to the United States in 1949 where they started a new life.
Dr. Kossak attended Wayne State University for his undergraduate studies and then attended the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry (UDM). After graduation from Dental School, Dr. Kossak accepted a position in a four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) residency training program at Fordham-Misericordia Hospitals in New York.
He returned to Michigan after his training and established a practice with a fellow dentist, where he practiced for 12 years. Dr. Kossak then started his own practice which grew into a multi-surgeon, well-known practice. After retiring from private practice, Dr. Kossak was selected as Chairman of the Department of OMFS at UDM School of Dentistry. He remained at UDM for four years.
Dr. Kossak is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Michigan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Detroit Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, and Michigan Dental Association. He has been married to his wife, Jeanne for 30 years. They have three children, all of which followed Dr. Kossak into the dental profession. Both of his daughters practice general dentistry and his son is presently in the St. John OMFS training program.
Dr. Kossak loves to play tennis and spends a good portion of his spare time playing. Although he is mostly retired and doesn't have an active hospital practice anymore, he remains on staff at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital. He has had many years of very pleasant memories associated with St. John Macomb - the staff, fellow doctors, and residents were wonderful to work with.
