CALCULATE YOUR PAYMENT
During your initial consultation, your orthodontists will be able to determine your cost of treatment based on your specific needs. There are many factors that affect your cost of treatment, including the complexity and severity of your problem and the required length of treatment. The average cost of braces ranges from $3,500 to $8,000, with the national average at about $5,000.
There are many different agreements between insurance carriers and their subscribers; each contract provides a different benefit. Orthodontic insurance usually has a lifetime maximum for orthodontic services. This benefit is paid as a percentage of the orthodontic fee (diagnostic records, initial fee, monthly payments, etc.) until the benefit maximum has been reached. Contact your insurance company directly to find out more information regarding your orthodontic benefits.
A FSA allows you to set aside a portion of your paycheck to pay for eligible medical expenses. This is deducted from your paycheck, not subjected to payroll taxes, and transferred directly into your FSA.
Health Spending Amount
A HSA is a pre-tax benefit account used to pay for eligible medical, dental, and vision care expenses that aren't covered by your insurance plan.
YOUR ESTIMATED MONTHLY PAYMENT
This payment tool is provided to create an estimate of your monthly cost of orthodontic treatment and is provided to you "as-is." Payments cannot exceed estimated treatment months. For actual treatment costs, please schedule a consultation with one of our board certified orthodontists.
When you finance with CareCredit, you get the dental treatment you need, with zero down or minimal up-front investment.
We Accept Your Insurance
Great Expressions is In-Network with most providers, and participates with PPO and DHMO programs.
Smile Protection Plan®
The Great Expressions Dental Plan offers dental discounts without deductibles or precertification limitations.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry deals with functional and aesthetic concerns with regards to teeth and the surrounding tissue. Cosmetic procedures today can range from color correction of your teeth to replacing missing teeth and everything in between. There’s always something we can do to help improve your smile.
Modern cosmetic dentistry has evolved to a point where dentists can address both functional and aesthetic concerns equally well with a number of options at their disposal.

What are the benefits of dental implants over bridges or dentures?
Both bridges and dentures only replace the visible top portion of the tooth, and leave nothing in place of the root. This can cause a condition called osseointegration, in which the loss of the tooth causes the underlying bone to slowly dissolve and deteriorate. Dental implants are also more stable than dentures, and do not require modification of surrounding teeth, as bridges do.
How long will each treatment take?
Just like you, every smile we treat is unique, so are the treatments we provide. While cosmetic treatment times may vary, many treatments are completed within one office visit.
Will my insurance cover cosmetic dentistry?
Insurance coverage, and out-of-pocket expenses for cosmetic dentistry vary. At Great Expressions, our front desk team members will work with you and provide several treatment options and estimates, and we will coordinate with your insurance provider if coverage is available. You will know all treatment cost estimates up front, so that you can choose the best plan for your needs, and your budget.
Is teeth whitening the right choice for me?
Most people are candidates for tooth whitening, but again, each situation is unique, and we want to make sure you are clinically healthy for teeth whitening. Patients get a brighter, whiter smile, with removed staining and the confidence to smile more often when their teeth are whitened.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Typically, you can expect whitening to last six months to two years, although some studies report results lasting longer. Avoiding red wine, coffee, and smoking — all of which can cause staining — helps preserve long-lasting results.
Is tooth bleaching safe?
Yes, many studies have proven that tooth whitening is safe. You can protect your tooth enamel by using calcium sulfate and fluoride.
