Dr. Robert Brody Appointed Chief Clinical Officer for Great Expressions Dental Centers

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI – February 25, 2014 – Today, Bloomfield Hills-based Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Brody to Chief Clinical Officer of the leading dental service organization with affiliated dental offices in nine states across the Midwest, South and Northeast.

In this role, Dr. Brody will provide the leadership strategy on the company’s clinical direction establishing the philosophy of care for the company, as well as oversee all GEDC doctors. He will be responsible for ensuring that GEDC maintains the highest quality of clinical care and compliance with ethical and professional standards. Dr. Brody will continue to lead the GEDC National Doctor Panel as chairman. The National Doctor Panel is comprised of eight national leading doctors in their particular dental fields who assists Dr. Brody in setting the company’s overall philosophy of care; oversees all medical care and practices for all GEDC locations; and mentors doctors to ensure patients receive excellent clinical care. In addition, he’ll continue his role as Clinical Director for Florida.

Prior to joining GEDC, Dr. Brody, held positions as president of Dental Health Group; team dentist for the Miami Dolphins, and served on the Board of Trustees at Golden Glades Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Brody served as the National Director of Quality Assurance for CIGNA Dental Health where he contributed to the development or quality assessment mechanisms and inspections, leading to a quality assurance of the more than 3,000 CIGNA managed dental care offices, and their 6,000 dentists, and networks. Before CIGNA, Dr. Brody held positions as Director of Dental Operations for the southeast region (CDH) and Director of Dental Recruitment for the northeast region of Dental Health Inc. He began his career as a lab technician in Miami and then Philadelphia.

Dr. Brody received his dental medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine, where he also earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in biology.
