Thousands of Dental Professionals Team Up to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month

(Oct. 2, 2017) – For the second year in a row, Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC), a leading dental support organization in the United States, is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by raising money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an organization working to prevent and cure breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.

During September, GEDC team members were able to purchase pink shirts and wristbands to wear at work during the month of October. For each shirt sold, GEDC donated $5 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year, more than 1,600 shirts were sold resulting in an $8,000 donation from Great Expressions.

“Since we started this program, our team members have shared countless personal stories about how they have been affected by breast cancer and why they appreciate the opportunity to show their support for this effort,” said Richard Beckman, CEO of GEDC. “In addition to raising funds for research, this initiative helps raise awareness for the continued fight for a cure, as the pink apparel serves as a conversation starter for our patients. We are grateful that our staff has embraced this program.”
